Coverage calendar project
Owner: Valegate Support planner.
Why: Produce a dated coverage handoff without manually entering each day.
Data: Fictional teams and inclusive End day numbers; day zero is Monday, November 2, 2026. Only day numbers zero through four carry eight hours; all later dates carry zero.
Done: Team, CoverageDate, Coverage and RunTot_Coverage, ordered by date and team.
Valegate Support plans coverage from a Monday start date. Each team supplies the final day number it needs in a local planning extract. The planner needs one record for every day from zero through that endpoint, including the last day. Only the first Monday through Friday carry eight planned hours each. All later generated dates carry zero, even if a longer endpoint reaches the next week.
Build the calendar from the source values rather than typing a list of dates. The hidden plan has different endpoints, so an off-by-one loop will leave a missing final day. Keep the DateTime field typed for later reporting and calculate the team running total before sorting the combined handoff by date. This is a planning exercise using fictional hours, not a statement about actual employment arrangements or required staffing.
input: {"source":"main"}
generate-rows: {"field":"DayNo","initial":"0","condition":"[DayNo] <= [End]","loop":"[DayNo] + 1","type":"Int64"}
Worked example: The endpoint is inclusive. Generate End+1 records per team when the first day is zero.
