Sales reporting case
Owner: Wickford Workshop sales lead.
Question: Which team has the largest net amount among distinct open work orders?
Data: Fictional operational rows, including duplicate IDs and a missing team.
Done: A descending net-amount table with one record per team.
Wickford Workshop receives an operational sales extract with repeated work orders, zero amounts and a credit. The sales lead wants the open work orders summarized by team. A duplicated row must not increase the result, and a missing team needs an explicit label so it remains visible to the reviewer.
Build the answer as an evidence table. First apply the requested preparation, then reduce the records to the business grain before aggregating them. A negative amount is a credit, so it belongs in the net calculation when its work order is open. Keep each transformation in the workflow as you continue. The final ranking is checked from the incoming records, not from a typed total that happens to match the first file.

formula: {"field":"Team","expression":"IIF(IsNull([Team]), \"Unassigned\", [Team])","type":"V_WString"}
Worked example: An explicit missing-team label keeps the exception visible in the grouped report.
