Summarize creates one output record for each Group By combination. The action applied to another field decides the measure: Sum adds values, Count counts incoming records, Count Distinct counts different values and Average divides the sum of non-null values by their count. The field you group on defines what a row in the result means.
A request for sales by team should not include Record in Group By, because that would keep work orders separate. Duplicates also matter: counting records and counting distinct identifiers answer different questions. Nulls can form their own group. Count Distinct includes a null as a distinct value in Designer, while Count Distinct Non Null excludes it. Inspect the source grain before you add a total so that the calculation doesn't quietly count duplicated input rows.
