A numerical reasoning test gives you a table or chart and asks several questions about it. Most lost marks come from misreading, not from the math, so read the exhibit before the question.
- Read the title and the units. "Figures in $ thousands" means 412 is $412,000.
- Find the row and the column the question names, and keep your cursor on them.
- Check the period: month or year, 2024 or 2025, July or the whole quarter.
- Estimate before you calculate, so you know roughly what the answer should be.
- Answer the question that's asked. If it wants a difference, don't stop at the total.
Tests like this usually allow a calculator and give you around a minute per question. This lesson uses the same layout: data on the left, the question on the right, and a calculator in the top bar.
