In this format you read a short passage, then judge statements about it:
- True: the statement follows from the passage.
- False: the passage says the opposite, or rules it out.
- Cannot say: the passage doesn't give you enough to decide.
The rules are strict. Use only the passage, even if you know the topic. If you catch yourself thinking "that's probably right", the answer is usually Cannot say.
Watch the small words. "Some", "usually" and "may" are weaker than "all", "always" and "will", so a statement that turns "usually" into "always" is False when the passage allows exceptions. Two things happening together doesn't mean one caused the other. A statement that adds a number, a date or a reason the passage never gave is Cannot say.
Read the statement first, then find the one sentence it depends on.
