At the end of a case the interviewer often says, "The CEO just walked in. What do you tell her?" You have about a minute.
- Answer first. "Brightwell should launch" comes before any reasons. Don't retell the case in order.
- Two or three reasons, each with a number. Pick the ones that decided it.
- One risk and one next step. It shows judgment, not doubt.
- Keep it short. Three or four sentences. If you need "and also" twice, cut something.
The same shape works for the first slide of a deck and for the summary at the end of a written case: answer, support, risk, next step.
