Some firms screen candidates with an online case: a chat-like screen asks a series of questions about one business problem, with exhibits, in a fixed time. Formats differ by firm and change over time; this lesson uses our own format to practice the underlying skills, not any firm's test.
What these tests reward:
- Reading fast and carefully: units in footnotes, distractor columns.
- Answering exactly what is asked: a number in the right unit, or one option.
- Moving on: you usually can't go back, so check before you submit.
Each question here is one message from a case assistant, with an answer box underneath.
