Build the storyline deck
Who asked: Copperline Coffee Roasters' CEO, presenting to the board on Thursday.
Why: the analysis is done (profit fell because ingredient costs rose; a $0.20 price rise and staff hours fix it), but the draft deck is out of order, with label titles and a missing chart.
The deck: five slides in the PowerPoint-style editor. Each step continues from your own deck.
Done looks like: answer first, then the cause, the fix and the next steps, with action titles that read as a story on their own. All figures are fictional.
A consulting deck tells one story: the answer first, then the reasons, then what happens next. Read only the titles in order and the story should still make sense.
This project builds that deck from a messy draft: reorder the slides (select a thumbnail and press Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down), turn label titles into action titles, add the chart that proves the cause, and tidy the next-steps slide. Each step continues from the deck you left in the step before.
It brings back skills from the slides unit: action titles, executive summaries, charts, and Align and Distribute.
