A namespace is part of a namespaced resource's identity. Two Deployments can have the same name in different namespaces and remain separate objects. A namespace flag selects the scope of one command; the current context can set a default for later commands. Always inspect that default before changing an object in a shared terminal session. Namespace creation doesn't move existing workloads into it. These tasks create a team boundary, change a command default and place an application explicitly. A resource created in default can look correct in isolation while still failing the request, because the consuming team works in another namespace.
