A Pod is Kubernetes' smallest deployable workload unit. Its containers share a network namespace and can share declared volumes, but each container keeps its own image and startup settings. The manifest separates resource metadata from the Pod spec and individual container fields. Labels belong to metadata; environment and declared ports belong to a container. Applying valid YAML doesn't guarantee that an image can be pulled or that the application becomes ready. Start by inspecting the object identity and status. These tasks repair one concrete field while retaining the resource name and application label, including an image reference that can't start.
