An image is a packaged filesystem and startup configuration. A container is a process created from that image. The run command creates a container and starts its main process. A name gives you a stable handle for later commands, while detached mode returns the terminal prompt without stopping the application. A container can be running or stopped while its filesystem and metadata remain available. Stop asks its process to finish; removal deletes the container object.
Apply those boundaries to fresh fixtures. Inspect the requested name, namespace, path and value before reusing a command. The tasks mix earlier operations and include nearby wrong targets, so preserve unrelated work. Choose any supported approach that produces the complete requested state; the checker evaluates the result rather than a recorded command sequence.
