Unity Catalog organizes objects as catalog, schema and table or view. A principal can be a user, group or service principal. Reading a table normally requires the relevant USE CATALOG and USE SCHEMA privileges as well as SELECT on the object or an inherited scope. Granting a privilege at the wrong level can either leave access incomplete or expose more objects than intended.
Aster Supply uses groups for reporting access so membership can change without rewriting every table grant. Use SHOW GRANTS to inspect the recorded permissions, and REVOKE to remove a grant you no longer want. Ownership controls object management and should have an accountable owner. Inherited grants, direct grants and policy effects need separate review. This browser models the commands and hierarchy; production access also depends on the workspace's identity setup and available governance features.
