A Git folder connects workspace code to version control. Use a branch for a change, review its diff and merge through the team's pull-request process. Running a modified notebook in a workspace is not the same as deploying a reviewed production workflow.
Declarative Automation Bundles describe workspace resources and their configuration as code. Targets and variables let the same source commit use separate development, test and production settings. Keep secrets in the approved secret or identity mechanism, not in a committed configuration file. The CLI can validate a bundle before deployment, but validation alone does not prove that the data outputs meet their contract. A release needs configuration checks plus the relevant job and data verification. These drills review the workflow and commands without pretending that the browser is connected to a production workspace.
