A state comparison selects resources that differ from a saved project artifact.
state:modified chooses changed nodes, and a trailing plus includes descendants. Inspect the selected set before starting a CI job. Preserve the intended comparison manifest separately from artifacts produced by the current invocation.
Deferral can resolve eligible unselected parents to relations recorded in another environment. Clone creates target objects from trusted state, subject to the adapter's cloning behavior. Retry serves a different purpose: it resumes a recorded invocation from its failure point. None of these removes the need to validate the affected business meaning.
A release also has consumers. Keep public model versions available during a planned migration, document ownership, and grant reporting roles only the privileges they need.
This simulator executes state selection against supplied changed files and builds isolated target models. Clone, retry, native versioning, and remote warehouse grants are checked operational scenarios.
