Keyboard shortcuts save time when the workbook contains a long list. Ctrl+T opens Create Table with the current data region selected. A cell inside a continuous list is enough, but a blank row can split that region. Selecting the exact range first avoids an incomplete table.
Within a table, Ctrl+Space selects a data column. Ctrl+Shift+L toggles the filter arrows. Ctrl+Arrow moves to the edge of a continuous block, while Ctrl+Shift+Arrow extends the selection to that edge. A blank cell can stop those movements early, so check both ends before you create the table.
Use the Name Box when you already know the exact range. Enter a reference such as A1:D7 and press Enter. It's a useful alternative when the list has intentional gaps or zero amounts that must stay in the report.
