Fictional assignment
Build an operational dashboard for North Pier Supplies.
The sales lead needs a distinct list of regions, revenue and order counts by region, average order size and a recommendation for the leading region. One order is a return with negative revenue. Include it in the totals.
All records and amounts are fictional practice data. Deliver the completed workbook and a formula-based answer that updates when the inputs change.
A dashboard starts with a question and traceable calculations. In this assignment the question is where revenue is coming from and whether large order counts explain the result. Build one regional list, then use the labels in that list as criteria for every metric.
Negative revenue represents a return in this fictional export. It should reduce revenue without disappearing from the record count. Average order size divides net revenue by the number of orders, so it can also fall when returns rise. Use the same source rows throughout the dashboard. The final leading-region label should come from the calculated summary rather than a typed name, so it changes with the data. Finish with a labeled chart linked to the regional summary.
