Fictional assignment
Plan a fictional archive migration for Orchard Studio.
The project coordinator supplied start date, task durations and a holiday. Calculate the dependent workday schedule, then mark overdue unfinished work against a fixed review date. A handoff task takes one workday and must not finish a day late.
All records and amounts are fictional practice data. Deliver the completed workbook and a formula-based answer that updates when the inputs change.
A dependent schedule calculates each task from the previous task's finish. WORKDAY skips weekends and a supplied holiday list. If a task starts on a workday and lasts one day, it finishes that same day. Subtract one from duration when counting forward from its start.
The next task starts one workday after its predecessor finishes. Use a fixed review date when marking overdue work so the exercise remains reproducible. Completed tasks should never appear overdue, even if their dates precede the review date. Finish with a stacked bar Gantt chart linked to the schedule. Plot actual start dates and calendar spans rather than workday counts: weekends and holidays still take space on a timeline.
