A link takes someone to a destination. A button performs an action. They can look similar, but the browser gives them different behavior and meaning. Images have a similar distinction: an informative image needs alternative text, while decoration needs an explicitly empty alternative. Leaving the attribute out is different from marking an image decorative. You'll connect destinations, describe useful illustrations, and build a native disclosure for optional notes. Keep the supplied text bindings in place so a hidden fixture can change the content. The goal is useful structure that survives those changes, including an empty decorative description.
