An interactive rebase todo lists commits in replay order. Pick retains a change, squash combines it with the preceding change, reword changes its message, and drop removes it. Inspect the graph before editing the todo, because the wrong boundary can omit a needed commit. The local editor exposes the todo file and the Continue action. These tasks rewrite only unpublished work and check that the final subject and content match the requested review snapshot. Squash needs a preceding retained commit; dropping a record removes its change from the replay. Read the final tree after editing the todo, because a tidy subject can conceal an accidentally omitted file.
