An incident with uncertain impact
Cedar Service users report failed request submissions after a release, while the availability dashboard stays green. The extent of the failure is unknown. Lead the response and restore the affected journey before a full root cause is available.

Mid standard
- I compare rollback, feature disablement and workaround with their risks because restoring the service can precede a full explanation. I require a known rollback boundary and check whether a data migration makes reversal unsafe before acting.
- I state the confirmed symptom, affected scope, workaround and next update time because unsupported reassurance can mislead users. I separate current restoration progress from an unconfirmed cause and keep one incident record.
- I verify the user journey and agreed observation period, then separate restoration from the problem investigation because an alert clearing alone doesn't prove service recovery. I assign corrective actions with owners and evidence of effectiveness.
