Choose the time type from the question. A booking date without a clock belongs in LocalDate. An elapsed interval between offset timestamps belongs on the timeline, where two different local clock readings can refer to the same instant. Keeping those meanings separate prevents subtle scheduling errors.
Calendar amounts also differ from elapsed amounts. Adding a month resolves a date in the target calendar month; adding thirty days counts a fixed number of calendar days. Period reports calendar components such as completed years, while Duration measures elapsed time. The tasks use fixed input dates and explicit offsets so tests don't depend on the machine clock or local time zone. They include leap days, reversed intervals, month ends and an anniversary that has not yet arrived.
