UI automation works with elements in a window, such as a button or grid. A selector describes the element to locate. Coordinates alone can become wrong when a window moves or its layout changes. Start the application before trying to use an element inside it, then inspect whether the selector still matches the intended control.
The fictional Operations Desk app has a Submit button and a Request grid. This simulator only exposes those fixture elements; it never clicks another program on your computer. Run next action lets you pause after launch or extraction and inspect variables before proceeding. A missing element needs a selector or application-state repair, not a fabricated successful click. When an app provides structured data, inspect the extracted table rather than assuming every visible row is included. An empty grid is a valid extraction result.
