A bookmark captures a report state that you can return to later. Its options matter. Data captures filters, slicers, sorting and drill state. Display captures visibility. Current page captures the page. Use a data bookmark for a named filter preset and a display bookmark for a layout switch that should preserve the reader's selections.
A button gives the reader a visible way to apply a bookmark or navigate to a page. Give it a label that describes the result, such as Open store detail. A button that looks right but has no action does nothing. After you save a bookmark, change a slicer, apply the bookmark and check what returned. This catches the common mistake of a layout button unexpectedly resetting the year.
