Home > Merge Queries does in Power Query what XLOOKUP does in Excel: for each row, it finds the matching row in another query by a shared column, here Region. The match arrives as a column of nested tables; the Expand button on its header pulls out the fields you want, such as Manager.
The Join Kind decides which rows survive:
- Left Outer keeps every order and fills the manager where there's one (the usual choice).
- Inner keeps only orders that have a match.
- Left Anti keeps only orders with no match: a quick way to find gaps.
Untick Use original column name as prefix when you expand, or every new column starts with the query name.
