The planning analyst at Briar Workshop receives several layouts for the same week of work. Reservations arrive as transaction rows, staff hours arrive in day columns, and equipment arrives as a small horizontal form. One staff export puts its team label at the end of each block; another puts the label at the start.
Your job is to choose the transformation that fits each layout. Pivot creates headers from values, unpivot creates repeated records from columns, and transpose rotates a form without aggregating it. Fill direction depends on the position of the labels. Work from the row identity requested in each task rather than from a preferred button. Keep recorded zeros, preserve unknown assignments and avoid counting duplicate reservations as if they were duplicate errors. The final task combines label recovery, unpivoting and grouped reporting.
