A for loop runs its block once for each item: for amount in daily: gives amount each value in turn. To total a list, set a variable to 0 before the loop and add to it inside:
total = 0
for amount in daily:
total += amount
range(n) counts 0 to n - 1, and range(a, b) stops before b. enumerate(items, start=1) gives a number and an item together, and zip(a, b) walks two lists side by side.
A while loop repeats as long as its condition is true, so something inside it must change the condition, or it never stops. break leaves a loop early, and continue skips to the next item.
Don't add or remove items in a list while you loop over it, because Python then skips items. Build a new list instead.
