An interview record captures the candidate, date and interviewer. A scorecard captures the evidence from that interview. Scheduling the meeting doesn't establish that it happened or that the candidate met the criteria. Keep these outcomes separate in the pipeline.
Desk Hire uses criterion scores from one to five and a recommendation of Hire, Hold or Reject. Record every requested criterion, including a low score when the evidence supports it. An average can help summarize a scorecard, but it doesn't replace the underlying evidence or justify inventing a missing score. The candidate must be in Interview before a meeting can be scheduled, and an Offer move requires a completed interview with a Hire recommendation. Use the application ID to attach the evidence to the right vacancy; similar names shouldn't decide which record receives the scorecard.
