A staffing report needs a population, a period and a measure definition. Choose the report type and grouping, then apply the same week and commitment status to every number you compare. A utilization table and a financial table can describe the same schedule while answering different questions.
The utilization report keeps net capacity beside confirmed and billable hours. The capacity report adds demand and unfilled work. Financial reports show scheduled revenue, booked cost and margin. Skills-gap reports compare role demand with qualifying supply, so general bench time doesn't automatically close a specialist gap. Read the underlying table before exporting it to a spreadsheet or reporting model. A polished chart built on the wrong status filter will still overstate commitment. Report definitions are checked against changed data, which means a coincidentally matching total isn't enough if the filter would fail next week.
