An aggregate answers a specific question about the selected records. Count measures records, sum adds values, and average divides the included numeric values by their count. Minimum and maximum find boundaries. A zero amount is a numeric value; a blank amount is not automatically the same business fact.
Define the denominator before reporting a rate or average. An empty numeric population may be unavailable rather than zero. Grouping also changes interpretation: a total per region is different from a total per stage, even if the grand total matches. The simulator calculates the supported aggregates directly from the selected records. Hosted row-level and summary-formula choices appear as checked decisions, with a focus on avoiding double counting and division by zero.
