A queue owns work that a team needs to review and distribute. Its supported objects determine which records it can own, while membership identifies the users who can participate. A queue name alone doesn't make it eligible for Case records.
Decide whether a request needs shared ownership or one accountable individual. Assignment rules can send a case to a queue, but the queue still needs suitable members and the users still need effective object access. Test the setup as a member and a nonmember when access matters. Avoid building a queue that looks complete in Setup but leaves incoming work without anyone able to act. These exercises establish small, explicit service teams across logistics, scheduling, and media support.
