The company organization chart shows reporting relationships between people. The position chart shows the hierarchy of roles or capacity. Those views are related, but they answer different questions: who reports to this manager, and which position reports to that position? A vacancy can appear in a position view without adding a person to headcount.
Use employee identifiers to inspect a reporting relationship, then confirm the job-information manager when the task asks for a change. A department transfer doesn't automatically mean a different manager in this training client. These exercises use the existing chart and supported employee changes. Keep the person, manager and position keys separate, especially when two employees share the same position code.
