Position management describes the roles and capacity in the organization. A position has a code, title, department, parent position and target FTE. Its occupants are employee records. Creating a vacant position doesn't hire anyone, and a target of two FTE doesn't prove two people already fill the role.
Keep the hierarchy valid. A position must not report to itself or create a circular chain. The effective date determines when the role becomes available in this training client. These tasks create original positions for an approved reporting plan, then inspect capacity separately from employee headcount. The checker reads the position record, so a similar title with the wrong department or target capacity doesn't complete the task.
