A Request groups an order. Requested Items describe the individual catalog items in that order. Catalog Tasks assign fulfillment work for those items. These records have different purposes, so one request doesn't necessarily mean one item or one task. Trace their references when diagnosing an order.
Approval describes authorization. Fulfillment describes doing the work. An approved requested item can still wait for a technician, and a rejected request should not continue as though it were approved. Follow the configured process rather than forcing every record to the same state. The simulator creates original REQ and RITM records from orders. Use the resulting identifiers and references to inspect the hierarchy, then assign the necessary task or record the correct approval outcome.
