A flow trigger defines when automation starts. A created-record trigger runs when a matching record is created. An updated-record trigger responds to later changes. Selecting Updated when the requirement is once at creation can generate repeat tasks each time someone edits the record.
Workflow Studio groups automation authoring experiences, including flows. Flow Designer terminology remains common in documentation and workplace conversations. Read the table and event before configuring actions. A flow on Incident doesn't automatically process Requested Item records. Test a matching creation, a nonmatching record, and an update to make the boundary visible. The simulator evaluates the active flow definition and its record effects. Naming a flow once per item doesn't make it run once; its trigger and conditions control execution.
