An instance is a separately configured ServiceNow environment with its own address and data. A development instance and production instance can have the same applications while containing different records and configuration. Always establish which environment you are using.
Next Experience provides unified navigation around the work area. Classic platform lists and forms remain common administrative surfaces. A workspace can add a role-specific console and tabs; its available actions can differ from a classic form. The underlying incident still has an identity and table. This course reproduces the platform surfaces needed for administration, not every licensed workspace. When a task names a form or module, check the destination and record number instead of assuming every interface uses identical controls.
