Data pasted from forms and exports is rarely tidy. Four functions fix most of it:
TRIM(A2) removes spaces at both ends and squeezes repeated spaces inside to one.
PROPER(A2) capitalizes each word; UPPER and LOWER do the whole text.
SUBSTITUTE(C2, "-", "") replaces every "-" with nothing. Its optional fourth argument replaces only one occurrence.
VALUE(D2) turns text that looks like a number, " 1,240 " say, into the number 1240.
Combine them from the inside out: =PROPER(TRIM(A2)).
One space TRIM can't see: the non-breaking space (character 160) that web pages and some systems paste in. It looks like a space but is a different character, so first turn it into a normal space: =TRIM(SUBSTITUTE(A2, CHAR(160), " ")).
Work in a helper column, check the result, then paste the values over the original if you need to (Edit > Paste special > Values only, Ctrl+Shift+V).
