A workshop coordinator needs a compact report before assigning rooms for next month. The fictional bookings include a full session, an open session with every seat booked, and a canceled class. Those are different states: a label can lag behind the numbers, so inspect both.
This set brings together conditional formatting, data validation, pivot tables, and charts. A formatting rule should apply to every row in its range and keep the relevant column fixed as it moves across cells. A dropdown controls future entry; it doesn't repair existing statuses by itself.
For a chart, decide which columns supply labels and which supply numeric series. The last task uses a scorecard for a single total. Keep the canceled class in the source with its zero bookings so totals remain auditable.
