A filter hides rows that don't meet a condition. The data stays in the sheet, and a normal SUM still includes hidden rows. A shared filter changes what collaborators see, so use a filter view when you need your own working list.
In Data > Filter views, create a view for the selected table. Give a saved view a useful name, such as Studio open jobs. Set conditions through the column filter buttons. Conditions on different columns combine: Team is Studio and Status is Open means a row must pass both.
A view can also save its sort order. The source records don't need to be rearranged for everyone else. Temporary views let you inspect rows without leaving another saved view behind. In these exercises, a shared Ready filter already exists. Leave it alone while you build your own view.
