Request
Ridgeline's merchandising lead needs a reusable report before requesting a supplier refresh. SALES.PRODUCTS is the complete catalog. RAW."vendor_feed" is a partial supplier file with quoted names.
Done
A view named SANDBOX.SUPPLIER_COVERAGE returns one row per active category, with ACTIVE_SKUS and COVERED_SKUS. Missing supplier rows remain in the denominator. Inspect the detail before publishing the category totals.
The supplier file covers part of the catalog. A buyer wants to see that gap before planning a refresh, so the product table must remain the starting point. An inner join would produce a clean-looking report that omits the products the buyer needs to investigate.
Build the report in six steps. First inspect the joined detail, then narrow to active products and calculate a margin where a supplier cost exists. Add an explicit coverage label before changing the output to category totals. The final step publishes those totals as a view. Each step starts from your previous worksheet; replace the relevant query rather than leaving several competing report versions in it.
