A story walks a reader through findings one step at a time. Click New Story next to the sheet tabs. The top of the story is the navigator: one box per story point, each with a caption. Drag a sheet or dashboard from the Story pane onto the story to show it in the current point, and double-click the caption box to write what the reader should notice.
Add points with New story point: Blank starts empty, Duplicate copies the current point so you can show the same chart with a different filter.
The detail that trips people up: a story point keeps its own filter state. When you change a filter card on point two, point one still shows what it showed before. That's what lets one chart tell several parts of a story.
Write captions as findings, not labels: "Sales grew every year" says more than "Sales by month".
