A treemap fills a rectangle with smaller rectangles, one per member, each sized by a measure. It shows many parts of a whole in a small space.
There's no treemap mark type. You build one with the Square mark and empty Rows and Columns:
- the measure on Size decides the area of each rectangle,
- the dimension on Label (or Detail) makes one rectangle per member,
- a measure on Color can show a second number, like profit.
Packed bubbles use the same recipe with the Circle mark: each member becomes a bubble sized by the measure.
Size only works with positive numbers. A member whose value is zero or negative has no area, so it disappears from the treemap. Check what is missing before you trust one.
