Advanced reports support detailed worker reporting with related business objects, sorting and filters. The primary business object still determines the row grain. Adding manager.name exposes a related worker's value; it doesn't make managers the report's primary population.
Design the output for its next use. Include stable IDs when titles or names repeat, label columns when the delivered field name would confuse the reader, and define a deterministic sort. A missing manager is a blank relationship to inspect, not a reason to discard the worker automatically. Run the report after changing its definition. A saved configuration and a current output are separate things, and an export made before the change can be stale.
