Date Difference measures elapsed time between two dates. Select the start and end operands in that order, then choose days, completed months or completed years. For tenure, the start is hireDate and the end is the reporting date. Switching the operands can create negative values that still look numeric.
A completed year needs its anniversary. Someone hired October 1 has not completed another year on September 30. Blank termination dates should remain blank when you calculate time to exit, rather than silently substituting today's date. The report's date is a business input, not the browser clock. These tasks fix September 30, 2026 as the end date so repeated runs and hidden tenant checks have the same meaning.
