A summary tells you how much; its contributing details tell you which records produced that amount. Drill into a result row before explaining an unexpected total. The detail population should come from the selected summary rather than an unrelated roster that happens to have similar names.
Grouping changes the grain. Organization and worker type together produce one row for each combination, while organization alone produces a broader total. Sort detail rows with a stable ID when labels tie. A blank manager group is still a group with contributing workers, and it should remain available for inspection. Export after you have confirmed that the detail and summary describe the same population. These exercises check both the saved definition and the drill action.
